Hey guys, here is my first photo and post on this site, so enjoy and tell me what you think

Looks good but is very small... can you edit it to make the picture bigger please if you have a larger copy?

The lighting looks good and I like the dramatic shadows but I can't tell what the red puffy thing in the background is and the mask is great but very centred.

Over all this image looks very nice, I can only think of minor areas for improvement.

I like the red cape/drape used on the chair, it helps add to the feel of a formal event. Next time try using the red for the entire background as well, it will give the subject more attention.

Also, if you try this idea out again, get the tops of the shoulders in the shot as well, that will keep your image from looking too cropped.

I am obsessed with masks, and I definitely love the one in this image, I just wish it was held in an slightly different angle so I could see more of the face. Right now it kind of has a feel that it is just something to hold in a nice pose, a new angle will help unify it with the model more and could even make it the subject itself since the model's head is not in the shot.

The lighting in most areas looks almost painterly, except on the fingers holding the mask, soften it up a little and you will be all set.

Hopefully my post will be of some help for you, I am not that knowledgeable on technicals, but my advice on composition is sound.<br><br>Post edited by: Vile, at: 2007/03/01 14:15

no, this was exactly what i was looking for; real critique. I think I have another Shot that would include more sholder and collar bone, but im not sure if I have another angle of the mask.
