So I'm thinking about getting an older RV once I sell my place in Houston and going on the road across the US for about six months.  I've been thinking and talking about doing this for the past five years. 

I'd like to do a daily web show and possibly get sponsors to offset expenses and the high cost of gas.  These things get about 10mpg...  I'll probably edit and release a DVD at the end with highlights and extra footage... and maybe some of that "too hot for the web" stuff.

I might do sponsor logos on the side and place short ads in the videos and banners on the site...  Looking for an older RV for around $4k that needs some updating so I can gut the some of the inside and build out an LP control center for working and editing on the road.  I'll probably shoot video of the gutting and pimpin my ride... this could be pretty fun.

I've been looking into Honda generators there's a nice 2000w one that will run for 12hrs on a gallon of gas and could run my computer gear and my lights in remote locations as well.  It's also pretty quiet.

I'll be booking paid shoots and doing workshops and private teaching all over the US.






What do you guys think?  Have I lost my mind? 

Any suggestions for a better name than LP Roadshow?  I like "OK" but I think there's something better out there waiting to be found...

Hells yeah man do it! And you could pay me to come over there as your Aussie Intern! you know, the one who does all the shitty jobs like carry camera gear, wipe models asses, be a human ashtray all that sorta great intern stuff!! lol
But seriously Ive been reading all these interviews with you about releasing a book and dvd and this and that and Im still waiting! I wana see content with you in it for a change, get it happening!!

Sounds like a great idea! I know traveling from the west coast to the east coast means a lot of money, but if I knew you were willing to make the trek.. I can build a group of people that I know already love your work to come and add to an already great collection of images.

Hey man whats good? So i read over your blog which I think is a great idea. I think your a great photographer and as an aspiring photographer I hope to meet and learn from you one day. Now as for that rv ya may wanna change the flatt black on black look. maybe light pin striping on the flames for definition. And as for the name well.. its good and all but it kinda remind me of antique roadshow. And I mean that without trying to sound like an ass. I have checked out generators for myself before and that honda model is the best as I have seen out there. As for me I will help brainstorm some ideas for the name of your venture to be helpful. Just make sure you get around here one day so I can pay you for some lessons in lighting, and maybe even you could give me some pointers on some photo projects I been wanting to do for this horror movie I been writing. Keep up the amazing work man.

Its the most sane idea you could have. and I want to say TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!!!!! but you need to do this one on your own.
