Sorry I've been inactive here for a while, I've taken a break from things online and technology and I've been focusing on some real-life goals and things I've needed to get done. I sold my studio building and paid of most of my legal expenses. I've been selling things off, cleaning house, and packing and preparing for my move to LA. I moved into a temporary location and moving the office and "control center" of RAID servers and workstations was more of a task than expected... been doing some upgrades and rethinking my approach to a lot of what I've been doing. I finally replaced my stolen 5d with a 5dII but I've not shot anything in months. I'll be back soon, please stay tuned - and have a safe and Happy Holiday!
Leave me a crazy voice mail I'll be posting the best ones in the forums, it does a terrible job of translating them into text messges it's quite funny.... Like Mad Libs...
Today I completed the peice I'm doing for the Wunderland 2009 (aka Baby Tattooville) attendees. We'll be releasing 40 signed and numbered editions.
Wunderland 2009 (Baby Tattooville) was the annual weekend art event
sponsored by Baby Tattoo Books, a dream made real by Bob Self. It was an amazing time - for more info
on the event checkout the website www.babytattooville.com. The photo below was shot at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside,CA while many of the particpants and attendees observed. The model is Sarah Taylor aka Radiator Squaw Foxtrot. Special thanks to Jill for her help with the styling.
I had a chance hang out with the other artists listed in the previous
post and particiapted in a gallery show at the Riverside Museum.
Some candids from the afterpartys can be seen HERE.
I managed to go an entire weekend without wearing a lampshade on my
head, though there are rumors of me doing a shot of Jack Daniels off a
girl's bum while Hussar was sketching. I am not confirming or denying
these allegations.

I'm participating in the 2009 Baby Tattooville in Riverside, CA October 2-4th, as well as showing work at the Riverside Art Museum. The exhibit will run until November 21st.

I'm selling my Wacom tablet to the first person to pay via paypal - asking $140 (+ shipping costs from US zip 77007)
It's like new used very little. Most of my friends and photographers that edit swear by them but I've just been using a mouse for too long... Old dog new tricks etc...
I prefer the one to the larger one b/c you have more economy of motion and movement and don't have to move your hand as much to get across the screen.... I work on 22" wide screen monitors and thats a lot of movement on the larger tablets...
So I'm thinking about getting an older RV once I sell my place in Houston and going on the road across the US for about six months. I've been thinking and talking about doing this for the past five years.
I'd like to do a daily web show and possibly get sponsors to offset expenses and the high cost of gas. These things get about 10mpg... I'll probably edit and release a DVD at the end with highlights and extra footage... and maybe some of that "too hot for the web" stuff.
I might do sponsor logos on the side and place short ads in the videos and banners on the site... Looking for an older RV for around $4k that needs some updating so I can gut the some of the inside and build out an LP control center for working and editing on the road. I'll probably shoot video of the gutting and pimpin my ride... this could be pretty fun.
I've been looking into Honda generators there's a nice 2000w one that will run for 12hrs on a gallon of gas and could run my computer gear and my lights in remote locations as well. It's also pretty quiet.
I'll be booking paid shoots and doing workshops and private teaching all over the US.
What do you guys think? Have I lost my mind?
Any suggestions for a better name than LP Roadshow? I like "OK" but I think there's something better out there waiting to be found...
Well I missed Juneteenth again I think I slept through it. No offense to anyone - I think I've slept through most of the major holidays this year, my sleep schedule has been upside down for months.
It's time for a long overdue update - I have to warn you it's mostly depressing except for the occasional boob shot.
I posted a few previews from a recent shoot with Angle Ryan - I'm very happy about this as we've not shot in about four years. This shoot was a quickie from a workshop in Philly but I'm still extremely happy with the outcome.
(very not safe for work) (unless you work in an adult video store or a brothel)
Those of you brave enough to follow the very not work safe link above will also be treated to a couple of photos of one of my favorite new models Asphyxia... as well as a stunning preview from a set with LaurenWK who rocked my socks this weekend.
In other news, the attorneys that represented me in a recent lawsuit were awarded a $24,000 judgment against me and a lien against the home I'm trying to sell in spite of the fact that I filed a response of no contest and requested state mandated fee mediation. I'm hoping for a reasonable outcome to this soon.
I've decided not to sell my home in Houston as the market is terrible right now and the lien would make a sale unfeasible, I'll continue to try operate an upstart real estate venture under the protection of the State of Texas as I work my way out of debt and start my life over.
When I was visiting the AVN awards in Vegas earlier this year I was asked to shoot Joanna Angel and Stoya together for fleshbot.com. Like Angela Ryan, Stoya was a early staple of my portfolio but I've not been able to shoot her since she became an exclusive contract model with Digital Playground. This was a rare opportunity to shoot one of my favorite models, and it was made even better by the fact that she cooked up the concept of shooting with that saucy Angel girl. Joanna and I had also been discussing shooting for years, but previous contract obligations had prohibited it.
Some of you might remember this was the week I was banned from the Venetian for life. That’s a long story involving handcuffs and mugshots that I don’t care to elaborate on but for the record I’d love to see the AVN expo at the Luxor next year. Just Sayin…
So here's a link to the dirty, dirty shoot than ensued... Be warned - you are about to click on one of the most not safe for work links you might ever come across on my site: (if you dare)
CLICK IF YOU DARE
This was a guerilla hotel shoot with very little preparation or styling and I went in without my usual arsenal of lighting tools… I was extremely stressed out when I walked into the room – until I saw Stoya’s smiling face. And as pleased as I am with how the photos came out I'm even more pleased with the write-up from FleshBot: "we also managed to talk legendary photographer Lithium Picnic into photographing them".
You heard correctly. I AM LEGEND.
Someone needs to update my wikopedia entry with these substantial accolades before the haters rip it to shreds. Lux from Fleshbot (who arranged the shoot) is a super cool, cute chick that should find her way into an LP shoot of her own sometime in the near future. Just sayin.
Adella from DP is pretty easy on the eyes as well. I'm sorry, someone has to do this dirty work... Better me than you right?
Thanks to Curtis JW for his help arranging this shoot!
A really bad phonecam video interview from Obscura in Philadelphia last month. We discuss such riveting topics as our love for Scar13, a book that can't be found, my upcoming book and site, Asphyxia's involvement in both, and some jibberish in need of translating and subtitles.
I'd been up and in transit for an entire day when Jade Vixen came in from NYC the night before to shoot so I was running on fumes - I look like I have two black eyes.
How things can be so amazing and terrible at the same time... is beyond my comprehension.
Positive advances in my career... still dealing with legal battles.
Staying true doing what I love with faith everything is going to work out. Continuing to make commercially questionable choices and follow my heart.
Home and studio in Houston are for sale. Hoping to get moved to LA soon and get my attorneys and debt paid off. Some new interesting surprises are coming soon - I know I've been underground and not posting for a while but I've had reasons and will back posting regularly soon.
Just got back from LA had a nice visit, saw some old friends and recharged my batteries and resolve for getting out of Texas.
xanthinealkaloid: You should entertain me
LITHIUM PICNIC: ok sure - how about THIS
xanthinealkaloid: haha
xanthinealkaloid: looks fun
LITHIUM PICNIC: yeah well its not
LITHIUM PICNIC: its full of fire ants
I'm looking for some interesting music to use on some current and future video projects - mostly looking for slow, instrumental, groove based music to use for some erotic short videos... Dreamy Andrew Blake-ish stuff... I'm shooting and editing videos for a fetish site and my own site and projects...
I've been scoring some myself but I just don't have time right now and it's a good opportunity for some online exposure and promotion for the right composers/bands...
I'm also looking for music for an LP DVD with behind the scenes footage from shoots - some of this work will appear online. This project will be another legal fundraiser. I'm being sued for $22,000 by my own attorneys from a previous lawsuit because I've been unable to make payments. A certain web site that claimed they would use affiliate links/income to help pay for my fees has refused to pay a dime or respond to any of my inquiries.
I've already had some submissions of suitable tracks and found some things I can use, but I'm always working on new projects and never know what will be a good fit.
Not looking for exclusive rights just shared promotion - the bands can use and portfolio the finished videos.
Most of this work will be teaser pin-up in nature I don't do much adult work. The cross promotion and links on my sites and credits in the videos will be the only compensation provided at this time.
I will allow some of the people I work with to use some of my photos for flyers and even album art in exchange for the granting of usage rights. If I find a single main partner for this, promo shoots for your project are very likely - anything I can do to help promote and make this win-win. There may be future commercial projects in the pipeline that might offer more compensation. This is all experimental for me right now, I'm considering this a test.
